DAB+

DAB = Digital Audio Broadcasting which means, the digital broadcasting of the radio signal in the air

More details

More info

DAB + is the digital successor to FM , which will be replaced in a few years.
This technology allows listen to the radio in digital quality over the air, free of charge, without connection and without subscription.

DAB + can be received in the car, at home or in the office.
The radio can broadcast in parallel to its program scrolling texts (DLS, like radio text in RDS), but also images, files or WEB pages. Clearly, the radio can offer a whole lot of additional information to its program (PAD: program associated Data).

DAB digital broadcasting technology is a broadband system, with which multiple programs (audio and data services) can be transmitted from one or more program providers as a whole.

THE +

RELIABLE

No crackle, no clipping. Optimal listening comfort with digital quality sound, wherever the DAB + network is available. Where it is not yet, FM takes over.

DIVERSIFIED

A much better radio offering than FM, with digital radios only available on the DAB + network

VISUAL

DAB + offers additional information on current programs: texts, images, comments. Your radio becomes more interactive.

SIMPLE

No need to search for the frequency anymore, you choose from the list of available radios. With their large screen, DAB + receivers also offer many more features.

GREEN

DAB + broadcasting requires fewer antennas and generates much less electromagnetic radiation than FM. It doesn't matter how many people listen to it, unlike internet streaming.

SAFE

You listen to the radio for free, in digital quality and anonymously, thanks to a network of latest generation digital transmitters covering Brussels and Wallonia. Without subscription or internet connection. Find out about DAB + coverage in your area.
